KKR vs RCB 9th Match IPL 2023 Highlights
The 9th match of IPL 2023 was played between Kolkata Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 6 at 7:30 PM.
Bangalore won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Gurbaz and Venkatesh Iyer come in to open for Kolkata Knight Riders. Md Siraj comes to bowl the 1st over. KKR scored 9 runs in this over of Siraj. Venkatesh Iyer got out on the ball of David Willey after scoring 3 runs.
After the dismissal of Venkatesh Iyer comes Mandeep Singh who gets out on the very first ball. After this comes Nitish Rana, the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, who is unable to do anything special and gets out after scoring 1 run after playing 5 balls.
The opening innings of Kolkata Knight Riders falters and gets 3 out for 51 runs in 7 overs. After which Rinku Singh comes to support Rahmanullah Gurbaz and gives a good start to the team. Both the players together were taking the team towards a good score.
Gurbaz was hitting reverse sweep on Karn Sharma’s ball but at short third the player caught the catch and got Gurbaz out. Gurbaz scored 57 runs in 44 balls which included 3 sixes and 6 fours.
After this comes Andre Russell who gets out on the very first ball. As soon as Shardul Thakur arrives, it starts raining like fire on Bangalore. Shardul hits boundaries one after the other on Akash Deep’s ball.
RCB vs KKR IPL Highlights 2023
Rinku Singh gets out after scoring 46 runs on 33 balls. Shardul Thakur hit sixes one after the other off the ball of Michael Bracewell. Thakur scored 68 runs on 29 balls which was very beneficial for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Which included 3 sixes and 9 fours. Due to the good performance of Shardul Thakur, Kolkata Knight Riders were able to score 204 Runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Bangalore now had to score 205 runs in 20 overs to win. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, who came to open, started well. In the fourth over, RCB hit 23 runs against KKR.
RCB had got off to a good start. Sunil Narine comes to bowl and gets Virat Kohli out for 21 runs. After this, Varun Chakaravarthy comes to bowl, who gets Faf out for 23 runs as soon as he arrives. Both the openers of RCB get out early due to which the team gets into a bit of trouble.
After this Michael Bracewell comes to bat who is unable to do anything special and gets out after scoring 19 Runs. All the batsmen who came after this were easily dismissed one after the other, be it Glenn Maxwell, Harshal Patel or Dinesh Karthik.
All the batsmen of Royal Challengers Bangalore were unable to chase down this target and lost the match. Royal Challengers Bangalore were all out on 123 runs in 17.4 balls and lost the match by 81 runs.
